CJA STRONGLY CONDEMNS ZAGREB MAYOR'S ROUGH TREATMENT OF NOVA TV JOURNALIST

The Croatian journalists' Association (CJA) strongly condemns rough and inappropriate behavior of Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandić, who replied to Ivana Pezo-Moskaljov, Nova TV reporter, by arrogant, sexist and scandalous assaults instead of answering her question.

The Croatian Journalists' Association strongly condemns outrageous decision of the District State Attorney in Split to reject criminal charges against Stipe Perković Tabak. By the end of May Perković Tabak  threatened to kill Index journalists: at the Index.hr portal Facebook page he left the comment: “These Index journalists should be killed“.

CJA: WE STRONGLY CONDEM BRUTAL PHYSICAL ATTACK AGAINST ZADAR JOURNALIST HRVOJE BAJLO AND CALL FOR QUICK AND CLEAR REACTION FROM STATE INSTITUTIONS

Croatian Journalists' Association (CJA) strongly condemns brutal physical attack against journalist Hrvoje Bajlo, the owner of Zadar News portal and correspondent for national media Index.hr and the Nacional weekly. The attack resulted with severe physical injuries. Hrvoje Bajlo, who has been following ways the town of Zadar has been managed and has documented links between Zadar political, business, spots and law social spectrum, was attacked on Sunday June 24, 2018 in the evening at the parking lot in Zadar by NK Zadar former footballer and today a businessman Jakov Surać.

CJA: Minister Medved’s threats to journalist Mazzocco are attack against journalists' freedom and rights

The Croatian Journalists' Association (CJA) strongly condemns the Minister of Veterans Tomo Medved's threats against Vojislav Mazzocco, the journalist of Index.hr portal. The Minister's move is not only extremely inappropriate, but even dangerous attack against journalists' rights and freedom guaranteed by the Article 38 of the Croatian Constitution and by the Media Law.

Specialized journalists condemn way of portal 100% reports

Croatian Journalists’ Association (CJA) branches of journalists dealing with scientific issues and of journalists dealing with health issues strongly condemn the sensation grabbing way portal 100% reports about certain topics. The article about Ena Šarac was published without any declines or expert opinion regarding thesis presented. Even its graphic might inspire parents of children with cancer to stop their treatment and that might have deadly consequences.

CJA, Union of HRT Journalists and CJA Branch of the County condemn the decision of Sisak Mayor to bann reporting to HRT correspondent

On February 22, 2018, Igor Ahmetović, HRT correspondent, was not allowed to enter Sisak City Council session. Security guard explained that entrance into the City Hall and consequently reporting from sessions was not allowed to Croatian Radio-television (HRT). We call for MS Kristina Ikić Baniček, Sisak Mayor, to withdraw that decision and let HRT correspondents do their jobs.
