By that attack on Bitorajec family very dangerous series of public foul accusations, instigations and calls for lynching of citizens who publicly oppose obstruction of regressive and intolerant attitude as a model to Croatian citizens has been resumed.

The Croatian Journalists’ Association, itself a target to continuous assaults, instigations and calls for lynch, expects prompt reactions from the Public Ombudswoman’s Office, Ombudswoman for Children Office, the State Attorney and all other authorized institutions before violence against “marked” persons started.

From the highest state officials, who have ignored all public alerts of the CJA, international media organizations, organizations protecting human rights and European high officials, we demand to take distance from this latest incident as well as from all up-to-day instigations and calls for lynch, including ones in Velimir Bujanec show.

We want to remind you on catastrophic effects of former systematic marginalization and complete ignorance of warnings that by not condemning public defamations and threats in media they participate in destruction of conditions advocating for serious and responsible journalism in Croatia as well as in violation of human rights.
